Gyöngyi Bánházi
RomaniaMy name is Gyöngyi Bánházi, I currently live in Margitta. I studied in Nagybánya and Cluj-Napoca. The painting school in Nagybánya provided a lifelong basis for my creative approach. Besides fine arts, my favourite pastime is photography.
I work in various techniques, I like variety and challenges. Over the years I have participated in several solo and group exhibitions. I regularly attend art camps, where the exchange of experiences and new experiences help me to develop my creative work.
I like to capture the atmosphere of the moment in my work, combining external experiences with my inner world. I believe in the harmony of man and nature, and I draw inspiration for my creations from this harmony. Roots and traditions are important to me and I incorporate this attachment into my work.
For me, creation is not only an activity, but a life-giving force that brings harmony and fulfilment to everyday life.
I have been working intensively with photography for the last 15 years. I am interested in all subjects in photography, but it is nature that fascinates me and is close to me. Over the years, I have participated in several group exhibitions in the field of photography, both within the country and across borders.
My solo exhibition in Miskolc was entitled “Playing with Light” in Oradea, “The Eye of Nature”.
For me, a photograph is an image of a moment that never returns and never repeats, captured with the help of light in a tiny fraction of a second, but looking back at the result, the image itself, we relive the magic of the moment, which our eyes alone could not have imprinted in our minds.
