KMFT art camp in Királyszállás

The KMFT members participated in a three-day creative camp between 20 – 23 September 2024 in the Great Hungary Park in Königszáll. 18 participants of the camp: Attila Barát, Norbert Hős, László Jusztin and Szilvia Svanner (Soutland), János Csíki, Andrea Fórián, Edina Morvay Szabó AFIAP, Géza Szabó, József Sándor Thurzó, István Tóth AFIAP, ESFIAP and Tóth Magdolna (Partium), Hátszegi Csaba (Transylvania) and Udvardi Árpád (Transylvania), Gergely Fábián (Felvidék), Gál Mária, Gombár Mária, Kajtár Tibor and Szabó Béla (Inner-Hungary). The opening ceremony of the art camp organised by the Carpathian Basin Institute (KMI) in Szeged and the Oradea-based Euro Foto Art International Association (EFANE), which is under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), recognised by UNESCO, will take place on Friday 20 September 2024. It started at 4 pm in the Conference room of the Transylvanian Hunting Lodge with a welcome speech by István Tóth AFIAP, ESFIAP, followed by a rich and high quality presentation by Béla Szabó EFIAP (Öttevény), professional photographer and photographic artist. After the lecture and before dinner, the participants toasted with a glass of pálinka brought by Géza Szabó. A surprisingly delicious dinner in the Carpathian restaurant was followed by a toast. More specifically, the wine tasting of the Carpathian Basin Institute, led by Attila Zsolt Borbély (Timisoara), a wine expert, during which 12 bottles of Hungarian wine from the Carpathian Basin were presented and tasted. After breakfast, a photo walk in the surroundings took place at 11:00 a.m., followed by a creative trip to Várpalota and a visit to the Trianon Museum. The thinly sliced lunch (which was missing a glass of water) was served on the terrace of the Transylvanian hunting lodge. The afternoon programme continued with exhibition openings at the Hangária Pavilion. The event began with the second opening of the annual exhibition of members of the Carpathian Basin Hungarian Photographic Society. The event was attended and addressed by: István Tóth AFIAP. Imre Horváth, President of the National Association of Hungarian Photographic Artists (MAFOSZ), opened the exhibition and read a message from Dr. Csaba Szabó Pál Szabó, President of the Carpathian-Medence Institute and KMFT. Afterwards, the opening of the solo exhibition of the photographer Csaba Hátszegi from Homorod (Transylvania) took place in the presence of the author. All the exhibited works can be viewed on the EFANE website: https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=watch_permalink&v=826501599684297 The exhibition was opened by István Tóth EFIAP, ESFIAP, “Jenő Janovics” award-winning photographer and EFANE and KMFT President István Tóth, who highly appreciated the works of the proclaimed photographer. The author of the exhibition gave a speech at the opening, thanking the members of the KMFT for the opportunity to present his works. The openings were followed by a projection presentation by Imre Horváth, President of MAFOSZ, who gave a high quality lecture on contemporary photography, which was followed by great interest from the participants. The dinner served in the Carpathian restaurant on Saturday made up for the shortcomings of the lunch. After dinner, Dr. Attila Szabó, Cs. Szabó László László Szabó prize-winning photo historian from Chiucszereda, from 20:00 on Zoom platform about the world’s first war photographer Károly Szathmári Pap, who photographed a war (the Turkish-Russian war). After the lecture, the photographer István Tóth AFIAP. ESFIAP gave all participants a gift of the book Jenő Murádin – Károly Szathmári Pap, published by the Kritérium Publishing House in Cluj, which was purchased by EFANE. In the evening, from 9 pm, Géza Szabó, Oradea (Partium), KMFT member, wine connoisseur, will lead the EFANE wine tasting in Partium. The presentation was of high quality, attractive and very atmospheric, with 5 different wines, 3 white, 1 rosé and 1 red, 2 bottles of the Szönyi vineyard in Diószeg and 2 bottles of the Fort Silvan vineyard in Silágyság, offered to the participants of the creative camp. The Sunday programme continued from 09:00 with an outdoor photo shoot and a professional meeting in the Great Hungary Park. After lunch, the Camp was closed.
